We are excited to be a church made up of disciples from all phases of life. We serve families with babies, children, and teens, as well as couples, singles, and seniors. We strive to meet the spiritual needs of each individual within our care through a variety of ministries.
Like most places, our ministry is still looking different for a time as a result of COVID-19. We are presently holding Sunday School and our regular Sunday morning worship service and providing nursery care for both. As we are able, we look forward to resuming more of our normal ministry programs, which you can learn about below.
We love having children at our church! We are committed to providing a safe, secure, clean, loving, learning environment for your child. We consider it an honor and a privilege to serve babies and toddlers who come through our doors. Children are a gift of God and need to be nurtured and treasured.
The goal of the Nursery Ministry at Faith Baptist Church is to partner with parents in the spiritual development and well-being of the family. Nursery is provided for all services and most special meetings of Faith Baptist Church.
We provide an age-appropriate Sunday School program, divided by grades, for children from four years old through the sixth grade every Sunday morning during our Sunday school hour. Every Sunday, the timeless truths of God’s Word are taught in an environment that is both fun and engaging.
During our Sunday worship services, we provide a special Children’s Church program for children from four years old through the fifth grade. In Children’s Church, engaging teachers lead the kids in a Bible lesson, singing, and prayer together.
Ambassadors is our normal Wednesday night children’s program for children four year old through sixth grade. The goal of Ambassadors is to teach children how to represent Jesus Christ well in their communities. A special emphasis is placed on missions as the children are exposed to the lives of great missionaries and the rewards of serving Christ with their whole heart.
The first priority for our Teen Ministry is that every teen experiences a vibrant, real, and life-changing faith that prepares him for life. Through Sunday meetings, outreach opportunities, summer camp, fun activities, retreats, mission trips, and weekly youth meetings, FBC teens are challenged and equipped to live for Christ in their youth. We provide many opportunities for teens to grow in God’s Word. In all we do, we want to provide an atmosphere that welcomes every teen and equips them with the power they need to grow in Christ!
Our teens, grades 7-12, meet for Sunday school every Sunday morning during our Sunday school hour with our Youth Pastor, Pastor Matt Athey, and his wife Amy. The emphasis of Sunday school is to produce mature Christians by emphasizing salvation, separation, consecration, hunger for God’s Word, and a burden for being used in ministry. This is done by the expositional study of God’s Word, with the end goal of application for daily living.
Every first Wednesday night of each month, our teens meet for Bible study at 7:00 PM. The goal each Wednesday night is to provide opportunities in which to connect with one another and deepen our teens’ walk with God. Our teens have fun together, as well as time together in prayer and in God’s Word.
During our Sunday school hour, our adults meet in separate men’s and women’s classes to study the Bible together.
Men of all ages, college and beyond, are invited to be part of our Men’s Sunday school class. The value of this class is in the opportunity it gives us men to come together around the Word of God to study it verse by verse and to challenge each other to be godly men and leaders. We believe our church will be spiritually strongest when our men are growing and providing mature spiritual leadership, at home and in the church.
Likewise, ladies of all ages, college and beyond, are invited to be part of our Ladies’ Sunday school class. Our ladies’ class provides the opportunity to hear teaching applies just to ladies in a more relaxed, smaller setting. It also provides our ladies an opportunity to get to know each other better and to pray for each other more knowledgeably.
God has graciously blessed our congregation with a wonderful group of senior saints that love God and love serving their local church. Our seniors enjoy both specific Bible studies and occasional events.
Senior Men’s Bible Study meets every Wednesday morning at 9:00 AM at church, providing our men an opportunity to encourage each other and to be encouraged in studying God’s Word faithfully. Our men study through a book of the Bible or other portion of Scripture systematically week by week.
Senior Ladies Bible Study meets every Thursday afternoon from 1:30-3:00 at church. Along with time for fellowship and prayer requests and prayer, our ladies are led through a systematic study of a book or books of the Bible over several weeks at a time. The value of Senior Ladies Bible Study is in the bond of friendship it encourages among our ladies as they study God’s Word together and pray for each other.
Because we believe that reaching the lost is the responsibility of all believers, FBC is actively involved in both local and global missions. We financially support missionaries from all across the world to help further the good news that Jesus saves.
It is a privilege as a Pastor to come alongside to help and encourage our families through the problems of life. We believe the Bible is sufficient and superior in providing hope and help. We are committed to not only help people overcome their current problems, but also to train them to live all their lives in a manner that leads to increasing maturity in the Lord (2 Peter 1:2-10). Genuine Biblical counseling uses the Bible to help people make sense out of life. For more information please call the church office.
